Ice Swimmer

Title: Ice Swimmer, Acrylics on paper, H70xW50cm

In Ice Swimmer, I wanted to capture the raw, untamed essence of the Arctic’s most iconic inhabitant. By focusing on a close-up portrait, the work moves away from the vast, abstract landscapes and zooms in on the tactile reality of survival. The wet fur, the beads of water captured in motion, and the intense gaze of the bear emerging from the icy depths speak to a moment of primal endurance. Using acrylics on paper, I’ve aimed to translate the sharp, biting chill of the ocean into a vivid, immediate encounter. It is a tribute to the resilience of nature and the silent strength found in the heart of the cold.
